Experience

Jean Femia has 16 years of experience in all levels of edit, from proofreading to full content edits. She has worked with many writers, including non-native English writers, in a variety of fields.

As the sole editor for a software technical documentation department, she established writing standards for the department and edited the work of up to eleven writers. She currently edits and writes technical, marketing, engineering, and business documents; she also edits fiction and non-fiction.

Jean Femia holds a Certificate in Technical and Scientific Writing from San Diego State University (SDSU) and both a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a Senior Member of the Society for Technical Communication (STC).
